2003 - JIM THRASH

Jim started his career with Van, Waters & Rogers in Dallas in 1963.  Jim worked there for 19 years and was a Regional Manager covering Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.  Jim’s responsibilities included customer support for the company’s line of vegetation management products.

In 1982, Jim became the General Manager with Agriculture Chemicals of Dallas that specialized in herbicides and lawn and garden products.  

In 1985, Jim began working for Dupont.  Jim represented Dupont’s line of industrial vegetation management products and became responsible for the highway and right of way market in that same year.  Jim’s territory included parts of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.  A significant amount of Jim’s time was spent supporting the Texas DOT’s and the New Mexico DOT’s vegetation management programs.  

In 1996, Jim was the recipient of the National Roadside Vegetation Management Association’s “Roadside Excellence Award” for his commitment and service to his customers.

Jim’s career in vegetation management spanned almost forty years.  Jim concentrated on understanding his customer’s needs and providing excellent service in helping to meet those needs.  Jim’s customers could always count on him to provide expert advise on products, application techniques, and training.  

Jim retired from Dupont last December and he and his wife, Cindy, live in Lewisville.  They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and friends made over the years.
