TVMA Board of Directors Meeting
February 17, – Austin, TX
Executive Summary
Eight board members were present, CHB and guest speaker Jimmie Bush from TDA.
Extensive discussion on ’09 annual conference, future conference locations,
approaching cities and counties to attend the conferences, evaluating
restructuring the Association regionally, and starting
Treasurer’s report – assets ~$33,000 and no liabialties.
Board approved:
’09 conference budget at $27,000,
that the Nominating and Awards
positions be consolidated in to one,
that membership enrollment begins at the Conference and runs from
January 1st of the upcoming
year through December 31st,
that TVMA send a letter of invitation for the Conference and the
TVMA brochure to cities, counties, parks
and rec’s, past members, potential sponsors, city managers, county
commissioners, rural coops, etc.,
that TVMA make application to the Texas Ag Council and Taste of
Texas as it will provide TVMA
additional contact with the Legislature.
Jimmy Bush, TDA, reported that Structural is under a Sunset Review
and may be re-assigned to the TDA.
