TVMA BOARD ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING
October 25, 2005, Radisson Resort
South
There being
a quorum present, President David Wall called the Annual Business Meeting of
the Association to order at 12:30 pm, October 25, 2005 and thanked our keynote
speaker, Col Blain McAlpin, USAF for an outstanding
address.
President
Wall thanked the conference attendees for their support and outlined the
accomplishments of the Association during the 2004-2005 conference year. President Wall
thanked the Association for the privilege of serving in a leadership role for
these past years. David presented
certificates of appreciation to the outgoing TVMA Board Members Stan Jones,
Craig Johnson and Don Telge. David also
awarded special commendations to TVMA members.
Vice
President Ray Erwin provided the 2005 Program Report and gave special plaques
to LCRA (Platinum Sponsor) and to BASF (Gold Sponsor) for the 2005-2006
conference year.
Ray also provided certificates of appreciation to all Bronze sponsors
and tanked all exhibitors for their participation.
Myron
Rabalais provided the Treasurer’s report.
A motion was made, seconded
and approved to accept the minutes as read.
THE
MEMBERSHIP VOTED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE TO THE TVMA BY-LAWS:
“Article V. (5) to remove for cause
after a 2/3 vote of the Board of Directors, and replace, any officer or board
member who fails to perform the duties of their office.”
Rob Brooks
gave the Scholarship Committee report and provided a brief summary of the
following winners for the 2005 TVMA Scholarships:
As chair of
the Nominating Committee, President Wall brought the following nominations to
the membership:

For each
position, nominations were received from the floor and after counting the ballots,
THE ABOVE LISTED SLATE OF OFFICERS WERE ELECTED BY THE ASSOCIATION.
As chair of
the Awards Committee, President Wall announced that the 2005 TVMA Lifetime
Achievement Award winner was Don Telge of Telge Northcutt Training, LLC. Don made a brief acceptance speech and
thanked the Association for this high honor.
President
Wall announced that the 2006 TVMA Annual Conference would be held at the YO
Resort and Hotel during October of 2006.
There being
no further business, A MOTION WAS MADE, SECONDED AND AGREED TO TO ADJOURN the Annual Business Meeting of the TVMA at
2:15 pm, 10/25/05.
